I can undestand it's a long post but at least just have a look believe me.
lt is a way to improve the equipment feature in the game based on FF XII and Monster hunter
let me do an example guys:
the pg starts the adventure, he goes to kohorinis and goes to harad for str weapon or bosper for dex weapons.
They sell basic tier weapons
- Harad sells
sword, hammers, axes, shields, bow guns and schematics for armors
- Bosper sells
dex swords, Spears, double swords, bows shields, and schematics for armors
The player chooses a weapon thinking about the moveset and the builds that will gonna make, for example he chooses the rusty sword and the rusty shield because he wants to be tanky and gay.
Then he sees that his weapon sucks so much but to improve his weapon he needs materials, so he asap needs to learn all the Hunting Talents.
After the pg solves quest in the city and gained a lot of LP the pg can learn to reforge weapons to evolve them.
Sword atk 30 str 10 after using 30 claws, 2 steel billets, 10 sulfur, 20 coal becomes Noble shortsword Atk 50 str 20 1h bonus 3.
The player after he reforged his sword and forged his basic armor can further explore the world.
After the PG defeated a boss like the Mighty fattass molerat, he found in his stomach a blue print to make the fatass long sword
but the blueprint says the pg needs the bastard sword.
So the pg needs to further evolve his noble sword to the ruby blade through a blueprint sold by Harad after finishing some quest for him, and this time the ruby blade needs a ruby to be made because why the hell a ruby Blade doesn't need ruby to be made, to the bastard sword and finally through that secret blueprint he can reforge the last tier of his basic weapon.
Then the player after exploring the world he finally decides to show off his homosexuality not just to his parents but to everyone and becomes a servant of innos instead to become a mercenary.
The pg goes to Mortis that says to the pg that peck loves to go with bitches.
the player can choose to report peck to Andre so Mortis can sells the PG a faction weapon 2 h that is the light claymore because the pg has in iron will and his values are above all and are they are heavy, like a claymore.
Or he can save peck's ass and be rewarded by him with a steel shield and the steel blade, because he can bear unholy secrets for the sake of the comrades, which are other faction class items that need to be improved through several forges.
Faction class weapons have different abilities and status effect and different evolution patterns
for example the Militia have the 1 h weapon and 2 h weapons that deals holy damages and is easier to fight ghosts and skeletons but their weapons are weaker then the mercs and the swampfuckers. They have swords claymores and pikes.
They have the best armors.
Mercenaries weapons are way stronger and fast and are the short and long axes and pikes that are also strong AF against animals and living things
Dark mages, dark knights and fire mages can make weapons with DOT.
Dark Knight weapons are the scythes and the Bastard sword that can be further improved to become the Beliar Claw
Swamp assholes faction weapons are the strongest and are the 1 h and 2h hammers and they do blunt damage that beats down the opponent and they do a lot of damages to skeletons but they consume a load of stamina and they have a slower moveset because they smoke so much shit that they are dumb and slow as a donkey ass
With new weapons different for every class it will be possible to make also new interesting quests for all factions.
Weapons have different evolution forms, some weapons can only be sold by dealers, and those will serves you all the game until the pg finds more and more rare materials that can further evolve the class faction weapons so the pg has a different choice of weapons upgrading every kind of weapon through his journey while waiting to upgrade his faction class types of equipment

I this way the player needs to forge and reforge all the 2 handed weapons: the one sold by the dealers and the one sold by the Mercenaries
The same goes with paladins, they need to fuse if they need the tear of innos the last 2 h str weaponn sold by the dealers and the faction claymore.
After starting the 3rd ch the PG after he has evolved his light claymore to become the claymore, then a heavy claymore, then the Grave Heavy sword, then all other further heavy swords that this game has, he can finally make his ultimate sword.
The same goes with armors and shields unlocking furthers upgrade through quests and chapters but the PG needs to find rare materials and farm a lot of trophies.
The pg thinks about his useless life as a Paladin, now he wants to be a mercenary, he has further improved his light halberd through several evolution forms and now he has the orcish halberd and needs to start ch 3 but the pg is reckless and decide to go before ch 3 to the raven nightmare asap. But to go there the pg needs to fight the undead mage of Architect plain.
The PG starts to cry because that mage is breaking the pg ass so bad, so the pg starts exploring better the VOM because he needs a holy weapon ..
After the PG defeated an asshole down the Orc mine standing there for no reason he found in the mouth of that skeleton the blueprint of a secret holy weapon equipable by all class that can deal holy damage, that can be further evolved, but will never deal that much damage like the last level of the Tear of Innos 1 h or 2 h.
So the pg starts mining and further exploring VOM to make through several evolution forms The Silver Moon Blade asap to go through Raven Nightmare and through the sleeper temple.
As the player can find in the orcish mine the Silver moon book that shows how to make the lost legendary sword 1 handed or 2 handed, the player can find in the swamp temple a book that shows how to forge the silver moon armor that is useless against normal enemies but strong against undead.
