Ok, so it's pretty ok now with dmg runes:
- first avaiable instantly after becoming paladin
- second on entering 4th chapter
- third on entering 5th chapter

WTF is going on with healing runes then? Right now first is avaiable at the start of being paladin, but then SECOND rune is avaiable only on fifth chapter along with third one.
Second healing rune have literally no meaning because it's avaiable from 5 chapter, which is exacly the same moment as third rune - we are instantly learning second and third rune and i guess the second one is what? a cheaper option for less mana and LP?

Before i was thinking i have to choose which second tier rune im getting on the begginig of chapter 4, so its about deciding do i want better damage or better healing for a chapter 4, but now i've tested it and game doesnt offer healing rune at all - you need to wait to chapter 5 even if you dont learn second dmg rune.

Can someone explain to me why is it ok to have second healing rune basicly dead for literally entire game?

Well idk, seems like a good way stand with 1st rune, because 2nd rune is useless, you can wait a bit and take 3rd (saving 5lp). There is def bad game design.

you cant save those 5lp - to get third healing spell you first need to learn second one. So at the beggining of chapter you just go to Albrecht and spend 5lp for second healing speal ONLY because its required to get third level spell (you cannot skip). I also never said that second rune is useless - i said its not possible to obtain it before chapter 5, when you already have access to third spell

By looking on how insanely strong guardian and dark knight guilds are (basicly imba compared to mercenary and paladin) i just cannot understand why Likier decided that paladin cannot have second healing spell on chapter 4... Like having fkin 500 hp and 70 str/agi, passive plague dealing perodical dmg even to undead, strong lifesteal and +100 to all physical resistances is just fine, but paladin having second healing rune at chapter 4 - no no no, impossible

Maybe there is still a posiblity that im wrong and there is additional reason that i didnt got posibility to obtain second healing spell at chapter 4, so that's another reason why i wrote this post - maybe someone is going to tell me

@Depression Got you, i'll tell you what: There is no balance between classes in the game, this is a problem. The paladin really sucks when it comes to runes, the dark knight is very strong especially the archer. The 2nd rune should be available after healing Innos' eye.

actually i was thinking like that few years ago - that all classes should be fairly similar in terms of power. Now to be honest i would not care anymore about that - its fine for me that some classes are just having more power than others and its fine because the game is single player, while all classes still provide enough power to finish the game on hardest difficulty.

I compared paladin to dark knight runes, because it shows how much 0 sense there is in nerfing paladin runes, you know? Like if game allows to be so imba as agility dark knight with 4 runes then why a little paladin cannot even heal himself from negative effects in 4 chapter? XDD
