Tips for new players

- Thieves guild is available for everyone. So you can can join any guild, before joining the thieves
- Can't join to assassins next guilds: fire mages, water mages, militia (paladins). All others can join to guild. Don't forget to join to assassins guild, before you will join to main guild.
- Paladins and fire mages can't take Beliar gifts, necromants - Innos gifts. But God's gifts are similar, you will lose nothing.
- Final level of jewelry mastery can be learned at chapter 4
- For learning magic rune from magic circle 3 (as example), must be learned magic rune from magic circles 1 and 2, etc.
- There are new spells appeared in game, as well as was changed visual effects for some olden
- Magic regeneration occurs once per second (if skill learned)
- Mages can take gifts for karma from the Gods statues
- Necromants must learn 5th magic circle from Kreol/Guardians. Xardas doesn't teach it.
- Magic circles can be learned starting new chapter (as it was before), or if you meet the next requirement:
- 2nd magic circle - 200 mana
- 3rd magic circle - 400 mana
- 4th magic circle - 600 mana, requires 3rd chapter
- 5th magic circle - 900 mana, requires 4th chapter
- 6th magic circle - 1200 mana, requires 4th chapter
- 5th magic circle also can be learned in chapter 5, when you will know about Irdorath, after reading map
- The tile to open pyramid is now droping from ImArah (at the plateau of the ancients)
- Masyaf - location for passing in chapter 4, not for chapter 3. Quest "Missing novices" must be taken in chapter 3.
- Before you will pass Plateau of the Ancients, will be better to learn resistance to heat from Gonzales, after Masyaf.
- Valley of Shadows became harder for passing, as was planned
- Hot-key: num7
- Gives Vatras, when hero comes to town, you need to ask Vatras about bandits and ask help in their search.
- Wisp can be trained by Riordian. Wisp can be used once per day, independing of game location.
- Wisp has 6 levels (which you training by Riordian). 1st level is avalaible as you got him.
- Wisp can search only non-rare plants.
- Also wisp shows amount of plates and plants on the current game location.
- Wisp uses magic ore for seraching plants.
- Plants per day, depending of wisp searching level: 15, 25, 35, 55, 75, 100 per 1 day.
- Ingame content isn't depend of game difficulties or another options.
- Game difficulty "Nightmare" is intended for skilled players, you cannot free save at "Nightmare".
- Choice more than 100% of monsters hp/power ratio didn't make game harder. It's just for delay players in game and who seems easy playing on normal 100%.
- Bosses are balanced for 100% hp/power monster ratio. For example: if at 200% boss damages you 2000 of damage, then at 100% you will take 1000 of damage
- Don't complain if you choose more then 100% of monster hp/power ratio. This was does by players request
- You can immediately use ingame bonuses without any risk. Bonuses in Alternative Balance don't affect the pumping of stats from teachers. The only exception, if you, for example, wearing a health ring, before training health, it's better to remove it.
- New game required only if it is listed in the changelog.
- New quests also don't require a new game, if required, this will be listed in the changelog
- All of ingame content is available, regardless of game difficulty.
- Dungeon is closed till chapter 4 (location, after defeating Raven)
- Er'Khazir's armor now locates in the dungeon.
- If you can't save on "gothic" difficulty, enable game saves in game options. At the "Nightmare" saves are available only in some places.
- Beliar's Claw is dropping from Raven as well, after, for mastering the claw, needed to be collect 400 Beliar Karma , after this should be chosen at Beliar's statue sword, spear, magic rune, epee
Also if you have Seniak's soul (to take his soul, needed before battle with him use "Mora Ulartu", after in dialog with Seniak press "use Mora Ulartu", and don't use Crest Elements on him) talking with Xardas about Seniak's soul, after at the statue you can upgrade your Claw. For upgrading Claw with Seniak's soul needs to have 200 Beliar's karma - If undead's didn't attack hero, remove the Crown of Ice, it makes undead passive.
- Special God's gifts - it's only for mages, you can take all 3 of them, but you need to have a lot of karma and intelligence
If you have any different key on your laptop/PC, search for instructions for your own model, keys may be activated with some combination

SNC - it's a modification which included in Alternative Balance, can be chosen on the new game start in Xardas dialogue.

- Hero obtain 1 or 3 LP per level. Depending on main guild, mages/novices obtain 3 LP, warrior guilds 1 LP per level.
- Pumping STR/DEX during battle while hero using one-handed/two-handed weapon or arbalest/bow OR summoned minions.
- Pumping Weapons masteries during battle using one-handed/two-handed weapons or arbalest/bow OR summoned minions.
- Pumping Health/endurance during battle using one-handed/two-handed weapons or arbalest/bow/magic OR summoned minions.
- Pumping Mana during battle using magic/magic swords/magic staffs OR summoned minions.
- All obtained bonuses which was obtained during battle - can be watched in the trading section, tab "SlashAndCraft bonuses"
- Magick circles are self-learning, if hero is member of magic guild and has enough mana. For learning magic circles mana can be obtained: wearing jewelry OR pumping, doesn't matter
- 1st magic circle - 100 mana points
- 2nd magic circle - 200 mana points
- 3rd magic circle - 400 mana points
- 4th magic circle - 750 mana points
- 5th magic circle - 1150 mana points
- 6th magic circle - 1300 mana points
- SnC has adaptation system for chosen game difficulty. You will pump your skills at 50% same equally as at 200%. But remember: mod is balanced for passing on 100% ratio.
- If you passed to another location and your endurance became 50, don't save the game! Restart game and try enter again in location.
- If your endurance was disappeared (while hero swimming or is transformed into the beast is not considered) reload game from earlier save. Don't save game with broken endurance!
- Don't use streif (left/right), while hero transforming into the beast, can happen bug and endurance will disappear.
- Try to save game on different slots, also you can make backup's of your saves sometimes. This will help you to keep safe your game progress.
- Don't equip armors, for which you don't have enough STR/DEX, increased by jewelry or something. You can lose your stats forever after taking off armor
- Heightened FPS sometimes may occure some visual bugs. Restrict value to 60 or lower. Open the game shotcut properties, in field OBJECT add this: -zMaxFramerate:60. Should be like this: "D:\Games\Gothic II\System\Gothic2.exe" -start -zMaxFramerate:60
- Sometimes game can crashes due to bad saves. It's easy to identify this: hunger, thirst, fatigue looks like percents without numbers. Monsters didn't attack hero, just stood. This happens when you save game during battle or battle is about to begin, but monsters already seeks and run to hero. Also game saves can broke when hero passing some locations, where he hasn't necessary resistance and he takes permanent damage. It's not recommended to save as well. This trable can't be solved, only reload for earlier save and trying again.
