Upgrading Beliar's Claw using Senyak's soul requires both a massive amount of Beliar Karma and the sacrifice of a total of 8 Learning Points—the very same points one could gain by defeating the boss who held that soul (3 points) and by destroying the Claw by handing it over to the dragon Ashtar (5 points). I wonder why—despite such a huge investment required to upgrade Beliar's Claw—one can still find better weapons that deal more damage and are available for free. Given the cost of the upgrade, shouldn't Beliar's Claw with Senyak's soul be clearly the best weapon in the entire game?
