The rune can be applied to any melee weapon. It does not interact with poison in any way.
You can use them together, but overall, the rune of the fire weapon doesn't last very long, so don't count on it doing much.
The rune itself does not deal damage; it simply stacks a fire dot on the enemy, which increases with each successful hit.

@Haart Thank you, so it looks like a good combination for me at least. And last question, can you please provide information which of those new runes is good for meele fighting and why if so?

And with ASNK that fire dot will boost int and mana ?

In principle, from the second circle of magic, runes can be used in close combat because they work on a time basis—you use the spell at the beginning of the fight and fight for a certain amount of time. ASNC mages seem to be able to boost both mana and int.

So it dones not matter what weapon you have eg rapier, it will boost mana and int.

I checked - no, only magic swords and staffs will add to mana and int.
