Hello,
When i first heard about the dark knight guild, the first thing that came to my mind is that we will finally get to see the world of the army of beliar, how they are structured, how plot against innos etc. Because beliar has a lot of followers that do his deeds: demons, necromancers, skeleton soldiers (skeleton fighters, skeleton archers, skeleton mages) and finally shadow soldiers (shadow warriors, shadow mages and shadow lords). Demon have their hierarchy and leaders and realm and so do the others.
So when the player joins the beliar team, he becomes an undead warrior or mage, after becoming powerful enough, he becomes a shadow warrior/mage and when he becomes powerful enough he then becomes shadow lord (if he was shadow warrior before) or shadow warlock ( if he was shadow mage).
Once the player joins this guild, he is becomes undead and part of beliar's army, and therefore has duties and responsibilities and quests to do. The quests are taken from his mentors and as his level in the army becomes higher he gets a new mentor with new quests.
The mentors are powerfull undead in the game (who can be found in caves, dungeons, crypts, etc). Every mentor can teach him unique skills including taking the power and skills of NPCs he kills. So the more he kills the more power he gets. To get to shadow warrior/mage level, you have to kill a powerfull dark mage(like the one in the camp of the brotherhood of the sleeper in the valley of mines, or the one who killed lothar) and absorb his powers.
Once he gets to shadow warrior/mage level, now he can only get quests from shadow lords or from beliar himself. But shadow lords can not be found in caves, so he asks beliar what to do, he tells him that he will have to awaken those in khorinis (inubis and three others from chapter 5) one by one and each one will mentor him and guide him with quests before sending him to awaken the next and so on. The final one would be the mad paladin (the former head of the order of paladin from chapter 5). If he succeded in the quests he give him, he can then become a shadow lord/warlock himself. At this level, the player receives his orders and quests from beliar directly.
At each level, the player has a number of soldiers at his command that grows both in number and power as his level and rank within beliar's army gets higher.
In these quests, you are collaborating with orcs, orc mercenaries, bandits and demons ( yes, as a member of beliar's army you can go to the world of demons, talk to them, learn from them, get order from high ranking demons/archdemons including the eligor legion and give orders to demons below your rank.)
i think this makes more sens for the dark knight guild than how it is currently with no quest lines and skills related only to the minion he can get.
Sorry for writhing such a long text but i just wanted to give you in full how i imagined the dark knight guild to be. I hope my suggestion will be taken into consideration in futures updates of the mod or as a separate patch like the path of the damned.
thank you for reading up to this point and for your consideration.
