В процессе Plateau of the Ancients: How To Unlock Goblin Chest?

My Dilemma:
So I was running around the Plateau of the Ancients, killing everything and I came across Gascula (killed him - the Goblin Rider) and this Goblin Camp leader.
Now after looting both of their bodies, despite receiving a cool golden statuette (haven't figured out what to do with it yet) and Gascula's spear. I had not received a key from any Goblin I came across.

So the question is, do I need to use that goblin totem (Goblin Ulu-Mulu) and talk to some Goblin to get the key?
Or is there an alternative way to get it? If not I'm guessing restart the game.

The key is given by the head goblin in this camp, while wearing the goblin staff, which is given by the goblin at the old tower of Xardas. If you killed him, then most likely only Marvin will help. This chest contains a ring for +300 health.
