Hello,
I have always wondered how do the other guild know that you have joined a specific guild ? It can't be the guild armor, because the hero can wear any other armor but all the npcs still know the guild he joined.
I think the guild should only be recognized if you are wearing the guild armor or for the guilds that would exchange such information or that can sense the guild for example: fire mages can detect if you are a water mage or a black mage and vise versa.
But for the rest how would the militia know that you are a templar for example or a dark knight or a damned.
I think that except the mage guilds, the hero can join multiple guilds without the two knowing about each other or even if they know it is not a contradiction. For example : a scout that infiltrates the brotherhood of the sleeper, or the mercenaries. A mercenary that infiltrates the militia or the paladins or the scouts. A mercenary can also be a dark knigh or a templar, i mean why not, they don't mutually exclude each other (logically) . A damned can join any other guild, mage or warrion faction: being damned is his nature, and has nothing to do with the faction he joins. The skills of the damned he learns are related to his nature and not his faction so there is no contradiction.
I think this makes sense and can make the playing experience much more amusing and interesting. Joining a second guild can even be within a quest like the scouts (the intelligence of the army) asking you to infiltrate another guild and reporting what they do and/or sabotaging them or doing something specific. I think this opens up a door to a lot of interesting quests that can be added.
What do you guys think?
